UAL is widely known for its creativity, and even from the little I’ve seen, the halls are filled structural sculptures, mixed media, and many different kinds of creative works. Between the distinct history and urban buzz around Elephant & Castle, it will be a very different place to work than the idyllic gardens surrounding Regent’s University London.
In my new role as Senior Lecturer, I will specialize in ‘the digital’, teaching across a number of programmes and further developing the digital curriculum. Next term, I will be leading on Digital Futures, Digital Screen Cultures, and contributing to Digital Cultures, along with some additional lectures here and there. While I am genuinely sad to be leaving my wonderful colleagues at Regent’s University London and course leadership of our awesome new MA, I am tremendously excited to meet new colleagues, interact with new students, and begin this new chapter of my academic career at LCC. And who knows, maybe we’ll all get to wear robes during graduation ceremonies like UAL’s chancellor, Grayson Parry! Yay!
