Broadly, my research interests involve questions about the relationships between digital media, new technologies and society. Recent projects have centered around social media, particularly the role of global platforms like Facebook and Google, on the everyday lives of ordinary citizens and for changing literacies in and out of formal education. Previous research has focused on issues of belonging, citizenship, and gender between the interstices of culture and media technologies.

Recent projects:

Digital literacies and higher education (2016-present)

The ethics of privacy in sharing culture (2016-2017)

Virtual Reality in the classroom (2016-2017)
